The Bridge Dumfries & Galloway is a voluntary sector support organisation and a charitable
Company Limited by Guarantee.
The Bridge DG supports a range of voluntary organisations - the "Third"
Sector - including community groups initiatives and not-for-profit businesses (social enterprises) in Wigtownshire,
and regional and national organisations operating across the region.
Support can include providing training for
committee/Board members, including charity Trustees, advising on issues encountered by voluntary organisations or helping
with applications for grant funding. Our Community
Toolkit page offers lots of advice for groups, including sample policies and the latest funding
news.
We also provide an important role in keeping third
sector organisations informed about local and national issues which affect them, to ensure that their views are heard in discussions
with statutory organisations such as the Council and the NHS.
To
receive our regular e-bulletin of information, updates and funding advice contact our staff (details below). COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE We are
delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing EFQM - "Committed to Excellence" Status. EFQM
is the most widely-used Business Excellence Framework In Europe. We are grateful for the support of the Supporting Voluntary
Action project "Quality Matters", funded by Big Lottery, in helping us achieve C2E.
